COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
Counseling: We listen, advise and guide the infected and affected people based on the Word of God, reporting the reality about the disease.
Hospital Chaplaincy: We visit people who are hospitalized to meet their spiritual and emotional needs.
Orientation Groups: small weekly groups where studies based on the Bible are developed.
Support Group: Weekly meetings where we deal with relevant issues for people living with HIV such as information and motivational topics, always based on biblical principles. Usually, an average of forty people attend these weekly meetings.
Worship On Thursdays we have a meeting worshipping God to thank him for all His blessings through music.
DULCE REFUGIO DEPARTMENT.
In Dulce Refugio, the needs of the youngest (up to 15 years old) are met, providing them with services such as clothes, diapers, powdered milk and age-related counseling.
Children’s Room: We have a completely decorated space so that the children have a good time in the Foundation. It is in charge of a teacher who is responsible for leaving in them clear messages of the word of God.
DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY.
Provides prescribed medications, seeking to support the effective treatment of people living with HIV.
EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The department of education is in charge of the challenging task of preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in Paraguay through educational and preventive talks on the subject, visiting educational centers such as schools, high schools and universities to persuade people about the reality and develop awareness about HIV. In 2016 around 16,000 people participated in the talks.
CLOTHING FAIR
Every Wednesday the fair is enabled, where each registered person has the opportunity to choose four pieces of clothing on a monthly basis. These clothes are the donations we receive from different people. For this reason, we are very grateful to those who decide to bring to the Foundation those clothes that they no longer use. Here they are classified and delivered to each patient.
REFUGIO PRIMAVERA LODGE
Refugio Primavera Lodge is located in the city of Mariano Roque Alonso. It is a hotel that serves passengers in a comfortable and familiar environment. The lodge is a dependency of Alto Refugio, where all profit goes to cover part of the Foundation budget.
