What kind of help can a person expect to find here?
-A chair or bed to rest
-Night lodging in certain situations requested by the doctor
-Nutritious food and drink
-Personal hygiene items
-Some medications
-Educational and spiritual videos and literature
-Dental assistance
Why is this work being done?
-Because no other work of this nature exists in all of Paraguay
-Because the HIV virus is spreading across the whole country
-Because people living with AIDS are faced with enormous physical, economical, social and spiritual problems.
When God puts needs in our path, its because He has a purpose.
When we respond with the Love of Christ, this purpose is ABUNDANT LIFE, and we have the privilege of participating with Christ in helping all people find this Life!
Our objectives for those living with HIV/AIDS and those who accompany them are to:
-Present the plan of salvation and invite them to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour
-Love them with an unconditional love
-Help them overcome fears through education
-Show compassion in practical ways
Other objectives with and through AIDS education are to:
-Inform the public about High Refuge Ministry
-Offer educational talks, testimonies, coreography, videos and dramas on the topic of AIDS
-Recruit volunteers to help in the ministry
-Connect churches with people living with HIV/AIDS
